Ted Fio Rito

Ted Fio Rito composer, songwriter wrote such standards as "Toot Toot Tootsie, Goodbye", "Charley My Boy", and "I Never Knew". The conductor -pianist, was educated at Barringer High School. He was a pianist for a New York music publishing company, and then organized a dance orchestra in St. Louis, and then in Chicago. He made many recordings and also owned a membership club in Scottsdale, Arizona. Joining ASCAP in 1921, he collaborated musically with Gus Kahn, Ernie Erdman, Robert King, Sam Lewis, Joe Young, and Cecil Mack.
