AMICA 2006 Annual Meeting

July 29, 2006

 The meeting was opened by President Mike Walter.

Officers reports were given by the President Mike Walter, Past President Dan Brown, Vice President John Motto-Ros, Secretary Florie Hirsch, and Treasurer Wes Neff.

Reports were then given by the Membership Secretary Bill Chapman, Memorial Fund Halie Dodrill, andAudio/Visual Hal Malakinian. Technicalities chair, Terry Smythe reported that he just finished volume 7 which will be available shortly. He has scanned over 1100 pages of technicalities, including volume 7, onto a CD which he has gifted to AMICA, which he hopes will be made available to members in the future. Convention Coordinator Frank Nix then gave his report.

 Chapter reports were given by Boston Area, Chicago Area, Founding, Gateway, Heart of America, Lady Liberty, Midwest, Northern Lights, Pacific Can-Am, Rocky Mountain, Sierra Nevada, SOWNY, Southern California, and Texas.

 Old business:  

A report on the Adopt-a-Piano program was given by Richard Reutlinger including the Board’s decision to cover the additional cost of the restoration beyond the funds raised with International funds. 

Ron Connor reported on the establishment of the AMICA Honor Roll and the criteria.

Mike Walter reported on the incentives for publishing articles in the Bulletin. He also reported on the Board Resolution giving the President signature authority on the bank account. 

Ron Connor moved to accept the slate of officers as proposed by the Nominating Committee. The motion carried unanimously.
